About Me

Dr. Hubiao HUANG was born in 1987. He received a B.S. degree in Materials Science from Changsha University of Science and Technology in 2010, and then studied under the direction of Professor Xinsheng PENG at Zhejiang University, China, obtaining a M.S in Materials Science in 2014. He then moved to Japan and received his PhD training under the supervision of Prof. Takuzo Aida at the University of Tokyo.  In 2017, he was appointed as a researcher at the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Tokyo.  In 2019, he moved to RIKEN and became a tenured Research Scientist.  In 2022, he was appointed as Assistant Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo.  His research interests include (1) crystal engineering, (2) functional supramolecular polymeric materials, and (3) novel fluorinated molecules for theranostic agents.
