About Me
Abir Goswami was born and raised in West Bengal, India in 1992. There, he has completed his undergraduate education in 2012 from University of Calcutta. After completing his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) in 2014, he joined as a PhD (organic chemistry) the University of Siegen (Germany) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Schmittel. During the PhD training, his research interest was to study networked multicomponent molecular machines and autonomously controlled information systems. In 2020, he joined the Emergent Soft Matter Function research group at Riken as a postdoc under the supervision of Prof. Takuzo Aida. In 2021, Dr. Abir was awarded the JSPS postdoctoral fellowship. His current research interests include small fluorinated drug carriers to increase blood–brain barrier permeability and next generation supramolecular adhesive materials.
